Wilton Manors, FL – More than 100 gay men filled Union Kitchen & Bar for the very first Fabulus Life event, Uncork & Connect. What began as a wine tasting quickly became something more: a night of belonging, laughter, and connection.
From the first pour, guests felt at home. Four wine stations with hand-picked selections, savory bites, and live music created the setting, but it was the conversations that carried the night. Groups formed easily, stories flowed freely, and by the final toast new friendships were already in motion.
“From the very beginning of the night I could see something special happening,” said Phil Cordell, Founder of Fabulus Life. “Conversations felt natural, laughter came easily, and there was a genuine sense of belonging. Many told me how refreshing it was to meet other gay men in a setting that felt welcoming and unforced. It was everything I envisioned and more.”
Fabulus Life was created to bring social connection back to the center of life for gay men in midlife across Broward County. Membership is free, and events are designed to be welcoming, in person, and pressure free. This is a place where showing up as yourself is all that is required.
